The Battle of Sark,^[1]^[2] or the Battle of Lochmaben Stone,^[1]^[3] was fought between Scotland and England on 23 October 1448^[1]^[2] or 1449.^[3]^[4]^[5] It was a decisive Scottish victory, the first since the Battle of Otterburn in 1338, and the last pitched battle to be fought between the two kingdoms during the Medieval period.^[1]^[2]
