I am interested in the history of science (mainly biology) and surprisingly, Wikipedia tends to be quite weak in its coverage of historic figures, more so if the context is not English or American. Even for contemporary subjects, such simple matters as a freely-licensed portrait can easily be lacking. When I attend public talks by interesting speakers, I make it a point to check and fill any gaps here. I found that contributing even a really poor-quality photo can stimulate (make the subjects cringe and help out) improvement. This should be much easier for the more privileged who are in academia.
One of the effects of working on biographies is that one learns that scientists do not stand on the shoulders of giants to see better but rather by standing atop an enormous mound of largely unknown ants.
This is a working list of various scientists (not necessarily entomologists, but mostly biologists) who have not been covered on the English language Wikipedia.
