Wilmot Reed Hastings Jr. (born October 8, 1960)[2] is an American billionaire businessman. He is the co-founder and executive chairman of Netflix, and is on a number of boards and non-profit organizations. A former president of the California State Board of Education, Hastings is also an advocate for charter schools.[3] He is the majority owner and chief executive officer of Powder Mountain, a Utah ski resort. As of September 2024, Forbes estimated his net worth at US$4.3 billion.[4]
