Watercolour of Eastgate Street, Chester, by Louise Rayner (1832–1924)

The Chester artist Louise Rayner (1832–1924) created many detailed street views of the city in watercolours. Some of her paintings are in the Grosvenor Museum. This shows the north side of Eastgate Street, including the 17th-century Boot Inn (far right).
