Ifat (historical region)

Ifat (Harari: ኢፋት; Amharic: ይፋት; Somali: Awfat) also known as Yifat,[1] Awfat or Wafat was a historical Muslim region in the Horn of Africa.[2] It was located on the eastern edge of Shewa.[3][4][5]
