Ditectif

Mae ditectif yn ymchwilydd, fel arfer yn aelod o asiantaeth gorfodaeth cyfraith. Maent yn aml yn casglu gwybodaeth i ddatrys troseddau trwy siarad â thystion a hysbyswyr, casglu tystiolaeth gorfforol, neu chwilio cofnodion mewn cronfeydd data. Mae hyn yn eu harwain i arestio troseddwyr a'u galluogi i gael eu dyfarnu'n euog yn y llys.^[1] Gall ditectif weithio i'r heddlu neu'n breifat.
